Sari B. Placona concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, restructuring and bankruptcy, government affairs and municipal law.

Sari is a pro bono attorney and a junior advisory board member for Partners for Women and Justice, a non-profit organization that provides free legal help in New Jersey to low income, abused victims of domestic violence.

Sari has been appointed as Director of Communications for International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation – New Jersey from 2018-2019.

While earning her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2014, Ms. Placona worked as a paralegal for eight and a half years at Walder Hayden, P.A.  As a law student, Sari served as a Member and Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter.  Also, Sari received the Eric R. Neisser Pro Bono Program Certificate for her completion of Pro Bono services.  Her pro bono work included being a court advocate for victims of domestic violence and the Newark Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project.

Sari served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ned M. Rosenberg, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage, Civil Division, during the 2014-2015 court term.

Sari recently was a panelist at the LLCs in Bankruptcy, New Jersey State Bar Association’s 20th Annual William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Conference, March 2018.

Sari is on the NextGen Committee for New Jersey’s Turn Around Management Association.
