Shefali Kotta’s primary practice areas include bankruptcy and restructuring and general litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Shefali handled mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and local tax controversy matters. Shefali also has experience representing clients in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy matters, specifically utilizing her expertise in debtor/creditor rights, corporate restructuring and representing Chapter 7 Trustees.
Shefali received her B.A. from Rutgers University – New Brunswick in 2013 and received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2018, where she served as the President of the Rutgers Tax Law Society, Senior Editor for the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal and served as a member of the Student Bar Association. Upon completion of law school, Shefali served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jamie D. Happas, P.J.Cv. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex Vicinage for the 2018-2019 court term.
