William P. Opel is a litigation associate with the law firm of McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Bayonne, where he focused his attention on various aspects of municipal law, including issues related to the Open Public Records Act and the Local Public Contracts Law.  In addition, he served as Municipal Prosecutor and as Counsel to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the Bayonne Historic Preservation Commission.

William received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2011 and his B.A. in English from The College of New Jersey in 2007.  He is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
