New Jersey City University and Kean University Formalize Merger
Earlier this spring, we shared the exciting news that New Jersey City University (NJCU) entered into a strategic partnership with Kean University, a historic first for New Jersey’s public higher education system.
Now, that process has taken a significant step forward.
On May 21, both universities signed a Letter of Intent outlining the framework and key elements for a proposed merger of the two Universities. As special counsel to NJCU, Joseph Baumann and Ashton Hartline were closely involved in negotiating and drafting the LOI, working to ensure that the goals of both institutions would be supported.
While this step is part of a longer process, its progress towards expanding access to affordable education in New Jersey, and we’re proud to be a part of it.
