Verona's Linn Drive Well Reopens to Deliver Safer, More Reliable Water

The Linn Drive Well is officially back online, delivering cleaner, safer water to Verona!

After shutting down in 2021 due to elevated PFOA levels—one of the PFAS "forever chemicals" affecting groundwater nationwide—Verona has been forced to  purchase water from the Passaic Valley Water Commission.

Thanks to the dedicated work of Verona’s town officials, alongside MS&B’s Chris Langhart and Victoria Borriello, the town secured a $2 million grant from the New Jersey Water Bank, a program that’s helped communities across the state invest over $8 billion in improved water infrastructure.

What’s new at Linn Drive?

  • State-of-the-art treatment systems to remove arsenic and PFAS
  • A new chlorine system to help maintain water quality
  • Infrastructure updates to protect against pipe corrosion

This project shows what’s possible when municipalities have the right partners and funding—large-scale infrastructure projects are possible, and communities get the lasting improvements they deserve.
