Biography
Marasia Laster concentrates her practice in redevelopment law.
Prior to joining the firm, Marasia clerked for the Honorable Daniel Roberts in Union County for the 2021-2022 term.
Marasia completed her undergraduate studies at Monmouth University with a B.A. in Political Science and Communication. During her time there she was inducted into Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society and served as a captain of the mock trial team.
She received her J.D. in May 2021 from Rutgers Law School with a certificate in Criminal Law. While at Rutgers, Marasia was a member of the mock trial competition team, a Vice President for the Association of Black Law Students, and the Recording Secretary for the Student Bar Association.
As a law student, Marasia gained her transactional experience when she was a part of the Rutgers Community and Transactional Lawyering Clinic where she focused on assisting her small business and nonprofits clients with business formation and contract disputes.
Marasia’s internship experience includes Open Public Records Act, employment law, and landlord/tenant disputes.
