MS&B Guides Design-Build Procurement for New Bayonne Vocational High School

The Bayonne Vocational High School, now named the Craig Guy Center, officially opened its doors in October, welcoming approximately 400 students from across all 12 Hudson County municipalities.

The new facility addresses an urgent capacity need. According to district officials, Bayonne's schools were "bursting at the seams," and this project increases student capacity for career and technical education across the county. Students can now access hands-on training in 10 career-focused programs, including construction trades, healthcare, criminal justice, and digital communications.

During the procurement process, MS&B's Leslie G. London and Jessica F. Silva served as Special Counsel to the Hudson County Improvement Authority. They guided the Authority through the Design-Build Construction Services Procurement Act, which allowed construction to begin on some elements while design work continued.

This shortened the timeline, allowing the facility to open sooner for students. We're proud to have supported this investment in Hudson County's future workforce.
