Newark University Hospital's Groundbreaking
MS&B Chairman, Joseph Baumann, joined officials on October 23 at the groundbreaking ceremony for Newark’s University Hospital's $325 million expansion, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
The project will add a nine-story tower with clinical care spaces and administrative offices, as well as a separate medical office building for outpatient care. Founded in 1882, University Hospital serves as Newark's state-owned trauma center and the clinical affiliate of New Jersey Medical School. The expansion represents a significant investment in Newark's healthcare infrastructure.
